Scholarly Activity Collaborative (SAC)
Scholarly Activity empowers physicians to shape and improve the healthcare systems where they practice. Have an idea to improve patient care? Lead a quality improvement project. See an opportunity to enhance outcomes by changing current practices? Conduct a research study. You can drive meaningful change by collecting evidence to support new approaches.
Even if an intervention doesn’t yield the expected results, you gain valuable insights—confirming the value of current practices or identifying alternative solutions. Either way, you benefit by (1) learning something new, (2) generating data to guide improvements, and (3) building a collaborative team for ongoing success.
Work smarter, not harder. Support the Quadruple Aim—enhancing patient experience, improving population health, supporting team well-being, and lowering costs—by designing interventions that streamline workflows, expand access to care, reduce workplace stress, and boost job satisfaction. For example, one member developed a project to train family medicine physicians to diagnose uncomplicated ADHD during standard visits. The result: physicians felt more confident in ADHD diagnosis and care, patients experienced shorter wait times, and access to treatment improved.
